Born in Ulm, Germany in 1879, Albert Einstein left school at the age of 16 without graduating. Rebellious and called “disrespectful” by his teachers, he struggled not to submit to the strict system. He moved to Switzerland for his studies and became a highly sought after professor. The development of the theory of relativity, with the well-known formula E = mc², eventually brought him world fame and
recognition. In 1933, due to Hitler’s persecutions, he immigrated to the United States, where he also received American citizenship.
