Each letter of the text is placed on a different level of the scaffolding. The back focuses on the men and women working on the Notre-Dame construction site. Illustrations by artist Arthur Bonifay highlight the craftsmen and women who helped rebuild the Gothic cathedral to its original state. Carpenters, aerial operators, masons, scaffolders… Today’s craftsmen and master builders pay tribute to the cathedral’s original builders. They perpetuate old gestures while using more modern techniques. Through their work, they help to transmit their exceptional expertise.
