This collectible €2 coin, issued by the Bank of Greece, is a unique commemorative for the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous conductor Dimitri Mitropoulos.

The coin’s design is the work of the renowned artist Georgios Stamatopoulos, whose monogram is visible on the lower right part of the design. The coin is adorned with the 12 stars of the European flag on the outer ring, while the palmette, the emblem of the Greek Mint, is depicted on the upper left. The coin’s issue is limited to 750,000 pieces, making it a valuable item for every collector of commemorative coins.
