The mask of Agamemnon was discovered by Henry Schliemann, in the excavation of Mycenae.. It is a gold funerary mask and was found in burial chamber E’ of burial precinct A’ of Mycenae. Today the mask is exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Today, we present to you the world’s first coin bearing the Face of Agamemnon. It is a miniature of this very important object.
