2€ Greece 2018 – 75th Anniversary of Kostis Palamas’ Death

This collectible 2€ coin is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the death of Kostis Palamas, one of the most important figures in Greek literature. Kostis Palamas (1859-1943) was a renewer of modern Greek poetry and an ardent supporter of the demotic language, contributing decisively to its establishment as a poetic medium.

The coin was issued in 2018 by the Greek Mint and designed by G. Stamatopoulos. The print quality is brilliant uncirculated (BU) and the mintage is 748,000 coins.
