The coin’s design features the Arkadi Monastery with the words “ARKADI MONASTERY” engraved in the center. Around the inner edge, on the left, the words “HELLENIC REPUBLIC” are inscribed.
On the upper right, the year of issue “2016” is displayed, while below the central inscription, a palmette, the emblem of the Greek Mint, is depicted. In the lower right part of the design, the monogram of the artist George Stamatopoulos appears. The outer ring of the coin displays the 12 stars of the European flag.
