The Knights of the Past Coin is the name given to the first commemorative coin created through close collaboration between the Central Bank of Malta and the Germania Mint. This edition will launch a series of unique coins, which refer in a contemporary way to the traditions of the Order of Malta.
.The obverse of the first coin in the series depicts the Knights of Malta in battle formation, with the famous Verdala Palace in the background. The reverse of the coin features the coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta on a shield, held by a knight. The 2021 Knights 1oz Silver will be issued in 15,000 coins with certificate and blister packaging
