2 euro 100th anniversary of the First International Sports Tournament Slovakia

2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the first international sports tournament held in Slovakia. This milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the development of sports in the country and its contribution to the international sports community. In 1925, the then Czechoslovakia hosted its first international sports event, attracting athletes from various countries and strengthening intercultural relations through sport. This tournament marked the beginning of a rich tradition of international sports events in Slovakia. Today, Slovakia continues to play an important role in world sports, hosting events such as the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF).
