Commemorative 2 Euros

The first set of Croatian euro bank coins is dedicated to the city located on the Adriatic coast in the southern part of the Croatian region of Dalmatia – Dubrovnik. The city is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, with almost 1.5 million visitors every year. After joining the European Union in 2013, Croatia considered adopting the euro. Finally, on 1 June 2022, the European Commission approved Croatia’s entry into the eurozone, which was confirmed on 24 June 2022 at the EU summit in Brussels.
