Limited mintage of 1,500,000 pieces released on June 23, 2017. The design features a bust of Titus Livius based on the work of Lorenzo Larese Moretti; on the left side, the logo of the Italian Republic ‘RI’, and the initials of the artist Claudia Momoni, ‘C.M.’; on the right side, the dates ’17’ and ‘2017’, representing Livius’s year of death and the coin’s year of issue, along with the mintmark of the Rome Mint, ‘R’. A circle of dots and the inscription ‘TITO • LIVIO’ runs around the edge. The outer ring of the coin displays the 12 stars of the European flag.[301]
