· Official colored commemorative 2 euro coin, weighing 8.4 grams with a diameter of 25.75mm, issued by the Paris Mint in 2015 to mark the 225th anniversary of the Fête de la Fédération. The design features a contemporary artistic portrayal of Marianne’s profile. The Brilliant Uncirculated coins will be adorned in blue, white, and red. The date is inscribed at the center of the coin. On the left side of the coin, a verse from the famous poem ‘Liberty’, a masterpiece by French poet Paul Éluard, is engraved as a reference to the motto of Democracy. The Fête de la Fédération, on July 14, 1790, was a festive event that took place throughout France to celebrate the first anniversary of the Fall of the Bastille and the unity of the French nation.
