The Clerigos Tower (Torre dos Clerigos), designed by the Italian painter and architect Nicolau Nasoni, is the tallest tower in Portugal, with six floors, 225 steps, and a height of 75 meters. From the top of the Tower, almost the entire city of Porto can be seen. Its construction began in 1754 and was completed in 1763. Since then, the Tower has become the symbol of the city.
